Ankkit Bahadur is an MBA in Marketing, he began his career in 2006 with a stint at Pepsi and then ICICI Bank funded retail chain Subhiksha.
Over the next decade, as an entrepreneur, he backed a number of hospitality ventures.
Mocha “Coffee & Conversations”, a co-working retail coffee shop was one such endeavour, introduced in 2009. It is often credited for creating an eating out/ café culture in the millennium city of Gurugram, way ahead of it’s time.
Over the next couple of years, he was the brain behind some of the most successful nightspots in the National Capital Region – Skooter (2012), Story Unfolds (2014), Playboy Cafés (2016) and Playboy Club (2017).
His diverse experience over the last decade also encompasses serving on the board of GoGreen Agri Overseas & SuryaUday Go Green (2009) to export quality grapes to retail chains across Europe, Amireygan (2010) which is the largest Israeli FDI in India in the real estate sector and Playboy India (2015) the iconic brand both in it’s hospitality & retail avatar.
He has received a lot of acclaim for his exceptional work over the years including awards for “Contribution to the Hospitality Industry” from the Hon. Minister of Tourism & Culture, “Brand of the Year” and “Night Club of the Year”.
His passion for poker and mind sports led him to invest in the Kolkata team of India’s first Poker League promoted by Dabur Group Chairman, Mr. Amit Burman and ADDA 52. The team finished in third place in the inaugural edition.
In 2018, he launched True Code, an initiative to tackle the global menace of fake news. True Code through it's social campaigns aims to educate people to spot and counter fake news across social platforms.
He has been credited with creating unparalleled brand experiences that lead to growth and profitability. He has been a team focussed leader with an obsession for client focussed innovations. His entrepreneurial abilities, in-depth knowledge of the market, understanding of cross functional roles, along with a deep-rooted understanding of public policy have made him a name to reckon with.
His sustainable farming work including training of farmers in organic agriculture through techniques and protocols developed by his grandfather aims to leave a legacy as he firmly believes that sustainability is the future the planet needs.
